Born in Sweden, her lyric toned voice and dynamic performances have taken her from Sweden to London, Leipzig to Buenos Aires, and from Shanghai to New York. With a span from baroque to modern music she is in demand on both the concert platform as well as on the operatic stage. Please follow Susanna on her blog and check out her diary to know where she will be performing next.
Recently Susanna appeared at the Turku Music Festival together with Topi Lehtipuu, Il Pomo d’Oro and Donna Leon with much success! She returned shortly after to sing Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Åbo Swedish Theatre and continued thereafter to Teatro Colon to sing her first Oscar in Un ballo in Maschera.
During 2014 Susanna enjoyed a very busy year with some of the highlights being a world premiere of ‘Animal Songs’ by Albert Schnelzer, especially written for her, together with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven 9, Luigi Nono’s Prometeo and a recording of Janácek’s ‘Danuj’ together with Ed Gardner and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and her first Musetta for Den Jyske Opera. For this season Susanna will make her debut as Queen of the Night in Weimar, sing Wolfgang Rihm’s Die Eroberung von Mexico at the Salzburg Festival, debut as Violetta for Folkoperan and then also make her debut as Pamina in Turku.
Please come along and enjoy some great performances and fabulous music making!
